Privacy Policy
What this site reads from your browser, and what it sends to Google.
This policy is for whattimewasit.app, operated by the publisher of this site. Last updated 2 September 2026. Contact contact@whattimewasit.app.
1. Time calculations
Offset, conversion, difference, and countdown math runs in your browser from the system clock. Those values are not sent to our servers as a lookup history. If you open a URL such as /3-hours-ago, that path is a public page, not a stored personal record.
2. Server logs
Like most sites, the host may see IP address, user agent, referrer, and the URL requested, for security and reliability. We do not sell that log data.
3. Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics (gtag) to count visits and see which tools are used. Google may set cookies or use similar storage and receive your IP address and device information. See Google’s privacy policy and the Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
4. Google AdSense and advertising cookies
If this site participates in Google AdSense, Google and third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this site or other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and similar regions may see a consent choice before non-essential advertising cookies are used, as required by Google’s EU User Consent Policy once ads are served.
5. What we do not collect
We do not create accounts, we do not ask for your name on the calculators, and we do not use the tools to store a personal timeline of your lookups.
6. Children
The site is a general time tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change. Continued use of the site after that date means you are looking at the current policy.
